SherpaCentral connects a young person with a vetted adult who does the thing they are curious about — a nurse, an electrician, an animator, a lawyer. Conversations are private from the public. They are not private from parents and our safety team, and everyone in them knows that from the start.
Every mentor is checked
Government ID plus a liveness check, and a sex-offender registry screen. No profile is searchable until all three come back clear.
Kids choose; adults cannot
There is no directory of children. Adults cannot search for, browse, or message a young person who has not asked for them first.
Parents are in the loop
Guardians see who their child talks to, when, and every safety event. Depending on age, they approve each mentor and read the conversation.
What we tell every young person
Your conversations here are supervised. Nothing you send disappears, our safety system reads every message, and a real person on our safety team can read the whole conversation. That is not a punishment — it is the reason it is safe for you to be here at all. We say this to you before your first message, not in a policy you never opened.
